Scholars of ACU of Texas

Congratulations to all the high school graduates who were awarded a scholarship from ACU of Texas. Students from Clear Creek ISD, Pearland ISD, Deer Park Independent School District, and Dickinson Independent School District were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship for college. Good luck to everyone who is celebrating a graduation!


Dickinson High School Winner: Makenna Henderson - $1,000 – ACU of Texas Scholarship Award

Makenna is the recipient for the scholarship because of her dedication to her education. She has already invested her time by taking dual credit classes to ensure she is getting the best education possible. She has an extensive list of extracurricular activities along with working and she has been able to maintain a 4.71 GPA.

Dawson High School Winner: Caitlyn Hamilton - $1,000 – Mayor’s Scholarship Award

She has been involved in the community through various volunteer efforts.  She is involved in girl scouts, helping at the food bank, helping at a nursing home and spending time volunteering at the community library.  She has demonstrated leadership characteristics and has proven she will succeed.


Pearland High School Winner: Emily Massicott - $1,000 – Mayor’s Scholarship Award

She is very involved in extracurricular activities.  Emily is president of the student council, involved in the Youth Action Council as well as the National Honors Society.  She has also demonstrated the ability to succeed, and she is in the top 100 of her graduating class.

Caroline Grace Chandler

Deer Park High School Winner: Caroline Grace Chandler - $1,000 – ACU of Texas Scholarship Award

She is ranked 4 out of 915 students. High GPA 5+ A student. She does not have any B's or lower.She is involved in several extracurricular activities (for 4 years)- shows determination and desire for what she likes.Has received awards.Teacher's rated her 4 (excellent) in all different categories. Has never gotten a tardy or been absent.

Wants to major in Business Administration and emphasis on Accounting and/or Finance.
