BRAVE the SHAVE Special Visits

Posted on February 27, 2018

This week, not one but two exciting events took place around our Third Annual St. Baldrick’s BRAVE the SHAVE!

One of our honorees, Sullivan B. or League City, Texas, stopped by to enjoy lunch with our event team. We were able to hear more about his family’s journey from a childhood cancer diagnosis to a fuller, healthier life. Sully, as he likes to be called, was presented with Sully’s Cup – a trophy to be handed out to the ACU of Texas branch or department that raises the most money for St. Baldrick’s this spring. We are even more excited for the original piece of art that Sully and his parents brought to be included in the event’s silent auction – remember to bring your checkbook!

Shortly after Sully’s visit, our good friend from Enterprise Car Sales, Gina Harris, stopped by to present ACU of Texas with a $1,500.00 check from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation to go to St. Baldrick’s! We are incredibly grateful for their partnership, and are excited that they are joining us for BRAVE the SHAVE.

Our  Third Annual Brave the Shave for Kids with Cancer Event, will take place on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1095 League City Parkway in League City, Texas!

As is tradition, KPRC’s Justin Stapleton will be our event host, providing hilarious commentary while members of the community get their heads shaved in a show of support for those fighting childhood cancer.

Shop our yard sale, bid on items in our Silent Auction, and partake in many other FREE family friendly activities. Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement.
