The Changing Hearts And Minds Program or C.H.A.M.P. started in order to help veterans and their families suffering from PTSD and other mental health challenges obtain tools and support needed to live full and productive lives.  CHAMP empowers veterans and their families to use community resources to combat suicide, homelessness, and substance abuse.   CHAMP not only works with returning combat veterans and their families, but any veteran needing invaluable life skills

The mission of the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes is to help severely-wounded veterans and families of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn recover from their injuries and illnesses, and to inspire other organizations and the general public to participate in this effort.

Did you know the estimated number of combat service members, veterans who suffer from signature wounds such as invisible injuries of combat trauma, traumatic brain injury (or both) is 1 in 3? These signature wounds include painful symptoms such as flashbacks, avoidance, isolation, hyper-arousal reactions including anger outbursts. Lone Survivors Foundation’s focus is to educate service members, veterans and their family members on the warning signs, symptoms and characteristics of these injuries to better prepare our men and women when returning home.



The Gulf Coast center provides an essential service to the community veterans through their Veteran Support Services.  The Veterans Services department is a member and representation of the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN). Our network assists veterans and their family members in connecting to their peers and veteran service providers locally and state-wide.

On the Road Lending is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2013 that provides vehicle selection assistance and long-term financial mentoring to address a little understood, but substantial problem—providing a way for low-income individuals and families to overcome transportation barriers so they can get to work, lead healthier lives, and avoid predatory lending. We help people improve their credit and purchase fuel-efficient, reliable cars, financing them through our sister private-equity loan fund with a low-cost loan.
