ACU of Texas continues to closely monitoring the rapidly evolving updates regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) in order to be quick in our response and provide you with necessary updates. Ensuring the Health and Safety of Members & Employees
As our community responds to the challenges created by the threat of exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are also responding to these health challenges, as reflected with the following changes to our current services. Current information regarding our locations and services is below:
- As of Tuesday, March 17, we will serve our members primarily through the drive-thru and over the phone. Our lobbies will be temporarily unavailable, to promote social distancing and to protect the health and wellness of our employees and members.
- Beginning Monday, March 16, our grocery store branches are closed until further notice.
These measures are in place to provide a safe environment for both members and employees. We are all working together to stop the spread of the virus by following CDC guidelines.
While our lobbies are temporarily unavailable, our branches remain open and available to serve you through the drive-thru. We offer numerous options for you to conveniently bank at one of our branches or from the safety of your own home:
Our employees in the Member Access Center are also available to assist you from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, at 1-800-848-0330.
We are offering a variety of options to assist members who may encounter financial hardship due to the pandemic. We will waive fees on skip payments for eligible loans and waive early withdrawal fees for members who liquidate a CD. ACU of Texas will be offering flexible loan options for those financially impacted by this crisis. If there is any way we can help you, please call us at 1-800-848-0330. Your Funds are Insured
Remember that your deposits are insured up to $250,000 per member by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund. Furthermore, we are one of the few credit unions in the United States that offers Excess Share Insurance (ESI) to insure deposits up to $500,000 per member. Unfortunately, some people and companies are taking advantage of the fears surrounding the spread of the virus. Do not let fear cloud your judgment when accessing links from emails and social media.
