Take the Headache Out of Overdrafts with Courtesy Pay

It happens to the best of us. We forget to make the deposit carried in our wallet. We didn't write down the trip to the doctor or grocery store. With busy schedules, electronic check clearing, debit cards and multiple people on one account, it's easy to forget about things both big and small. Whatever the reason, ACU of Texas Courtesy Pay* has been there to protect your checking account and save you from an embarrassing moment.

We understand mistakes happen and while we do not advocate overdrawing your account, helping you keep your account in good standing is important to us. Courtesy Pay is an additional overdraft privilege limit that provides an added level of protection in the event your savings account does not have enough funds to cover overdrafts on your account.

How does Courtesy Pay work?

ACU of Texas may authorize and honor overdrafts up to the Courtesy Pay limit on your account for the following types of transactions:

  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • Automatic bill payments
  • Recurring payments made with your debit card (such as gym memberships)

Additionally, with your authorization, ACU of Texas can also apply the Courtesy Pay limit for the following types of transactions:

  • ATM Transactions
  • Every day debit card transactions

Everyday debit transactions are purchases you make through day-to-day spending at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, payments over the phone or thru online merchants.

Simply click the Courtesy Pay icon on this page to complete the form online.

You may also complete the Courtesy pay Opt In form and mail it to the address below, drop it off at one of our area branch locations or ask a Member Service Representative for assistance on your next visit.
